How do I find a journal, newspaper, or magazine?

There are two ways to search for journals, newspapers, or magazines: the Journal Title Search, or limiting your search in the AllForOne Search to journals or newspapers.

Journal Title Search

You can use the Journal Title Search to search for journals by title or topic. The Journal Title Search can be found underneath the search box on the main library homepage or on the top navigation bar within the AllForOne Search.

Use the search box to search for journals, newspapers, or magazines by title.

Or, browse for topics using the Journals by Category hierarchy on the left-hand side of the page.

Limit AllForOne Search to Journals, Newspapers, and Newspapers

1. Navigate to the AllForOne Search.

2. In the search box, type the title or ISSN of the journal, newspaper, or magazine. Click the green magnifying glass or press Enter on your keyboard to run the search.

3. On the left-hand side of the page, click Source Type. This will expand a list of different types of resources available in your search.

4. Click on Journals to narrow your search to journals and magazines, or click on Newspapers to narrow your search to newspapers. If you would like to select both, click on the boxes next to Journals and Newspapers, and then click Apply Filters.

5. Optional: To narrow your search even further to journals available to you through Xavier, find Availability in the list on the left-hand side of the webpage and select Online Access and Held by Xavier.

6. Click on your journal to see online access options or to find print issues at the library.
